My client is a rapidly developing international group. As the business has grown and developed there has been an increasing requirement for better quality and more timely management information.

Candidates will be expected to get close to the business and advise operationally and commercially while retaining strong control of both financial and management reporting.

You will be a Qualified Accountant ideally with a background in manufacturing and you will display a high degree of energy, drive and a 'can do' attitude.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Monthly Management Accounts

*Assist the GFC and FBP to deliver the month end in line with the timetable

*Produce the monthly management accounts for Group entities

*Document and map existing accounting processes

Monthly reporting

*Consolidation of Group entities accounts.

*Analysis and commercial understanding of monthly results for the Group.

*Review and challenge overseas finance managers.

Statutory Accounts

*Assistance with Preparation of Group/UK Entity Statutory Accounts. Under IFRS

*Assistance with the year-end statutory audit and preparation of audit schedules.

*Assistance with preparation of Quarterly Financial Information for Bond Reporting/Bankers/ Investors.


*Preparing supporting schedules and analysis for the Group budget/forecast.

*Assistance with the coordination and delivery.

Technical Accounting support

*Provide technical support on accounting matters.

*Research / investigate accounting issues as and when they arise.

*Alignment of best practice across the group.

Process Improvements

*Document existing accounting processes

*Identify and implement process improvements where required.

*Work with overseas and in-house finance departments to develop systems and reporting. This may also require overseas travel


*Manage outsourced technical experts to implement accounting policies and procedures

*Group project examples being - transfer pricing, cash flow analysis new site accounting integration

*Ad hoc analysis as required to support specific Group work/projects


*Other ad hoc duties as required.

*Strong excel skills and ERP experience

*Manufacturing and standard costing experience advantageous

Person Profile

*High energy/can do attitude

*Results driven, ambitious and self-propelling.

*Credible and confident communicator with the ability to influence at a senior level.

*Able to occasionally travel overseas.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a recognised accounting qualification or within the final stages of qualification with at least 3 years of solid financial/management accounting experience.
