Job Title: Semi Senior Accountant

Location: Letchworth

Salary: Dependant on experience

Contract: Permanent (Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week on a Flexi-Time contract)

Due to expansion, our client is recruiting for an Accountant, ideally with Practice experience to become part of their growing team.

The prime function of the role will be to provide accounting services to Owner Managed Businesses and to provide some junior support to the audit team when required. You will be based in house but occasionally at the client’s premises.

Main duties for the role:

To communicate effectively with client staff to obtain audit evidence

Auditing client accounts and planning

Preparation of accounts for review by managers or partners

Corporate tax computations

Report directly to managers, associates and partners

Delegate appropriate tasks to more junior members of the team

Provide feedback and discuss with juniors

Skills and Experience required:

Experience working within an accountancy practice

Experience with SAGE, XERO, CCH and Manual Cash Books desirable

An ability to work quickly and accurately

An eye for detail

The ability to work to deadlines, prioritise and manage time effectively

An ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism

Good computer and Microsoft office skills

Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential

AAT Qualified or final year/ Part qualified ACCA

Able to be flexible with working hours

Must have a full drivers licence and the flexibility to travel to client sites
