My client is a UK-based asset and energy support services group. The group offers services in regeneration, compliance, energy services, and construction] to the following sectors: housing, education, public and commercial buildings, with a focus on the UK public sector and regulated markets.

Role overview

Job Purpose:

As a member of the HR team, you will assist in the day-to-day work of the team, which will involve liaising with members of staff across the company, external organisations as required and members of the public

  • To gain an understanding of the HR Department
  • To be responsible for supporting a range of HR projects and initiatives
  • To provide administration support to the HR Team

Key responsibilities

  • Act as an administrator for new and ongoing HR projects
  • To create and maintain reports, spreadsheets and correspondence using a variety of computer packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Input and maintain employee records on electronic staff database
  • Process checks/applications on the criminal record database
  • Obtaining missing data from employees required to process checks
  • Maintain sickness and holiday records
  • Answer and advise on general sickness/absence enquiries
  • Assist with preparation of training and induction courses
  • Processing, filing and distributing confidential reports and documents
  • Interact with employees at different levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrate ongoing knowledge within the HR function
  • Uphold confidentiality at all times
  • Carryout any photocopying, scanning or filing as required
  • Handle and distribute mail and faxes to the HR team
  • Archiving electronic and paper employee records
  • To undertake any duties commensurate with the post
  • Attendance to internal or external company events may be required from time to time
