This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career in the nursery industry. The role involves providing high quality care and education for children throughout the nursery. My client is looking for someone who is fun-loving, caring and responsible to join their team.
Working week
  • 4 days a week- one day off. Working hours TBC but nursery opens from 7.30am to 6.30pm. Apprentice will work 37.5 hours-40 hours a week.
  • Total hours per week: 37.50
Weekly wage
  • £150.00 - £210.00

    Vacancy descriptionYour role will include:

    Ensuring that each child is healthy, safe and secure.Must know how to PLAY – VITAL for the role and company cultureLooking after the children at the setting, making sure all their individual needs are being met.Encouraging positive relationships with all children.Managing behaviour in a positive way.Making yourself aware of all policies and procedures, and ensuring that they are followed at all times.Taking part in the reflection process for the settings practice, activities and staffing.Preparing snacks and meals for and with the children, milk and water.To follow all routines, duties, timetables, rotas, record keeping activities and any other reasonable duty as requested by your supervisor or Nursery Manager.The biggest part of the role is being able to actively ‘PLAY’ as the owner would say and having that passion and energy to really encourage play and learning.Desired skillsAbility to actively playHave energyEnthusiasticGood communication skillsAble to speak clearly to children, staff and parentsPersonal qualitiesYou need to be patient, caring and able to use your own initiative with a genuine desire to work with children.Must be a Team PlayerBe open to receive valuable instructions from the Nursery ManagersQualifications requiredGood standard of written and spoken EnglishFuture prospectsOpportunity to grow within the business.

    Things to considerVital that candidate has ability and passion to play in the workplace with young people and have aspiration to become team leader. Interview question involves: can you play? Show us etc and also where do you see yourself in the future- perfect answer would include being in the owners chair, team leader etc. Wages Explained: £4- level 2, £5.60 – level 3 (salaries to be reviewed after 3 months and after probation)
