The Client

My client is an instantly recognisable name within the UK and overseas and are one of the market leaders of the field in which they operate.

With offices in Crewe, Cheshire, they are currently implanting a system update and, during the time, require additional support within their Credit team.

This client is going through some exciting changes and are seeking someone who can work with them and support them during this time.

The Role

This client are recruiting for someone who has good experience of credit collection or credit control or other similar experience. You will be working closely alongside the existing team and will report to the credit managers. This job is on an initial 6 month FTC basis; however dependant on business needs this may become permanent.

This Credit Control / Accounts job will encompass a number of duties; specifically you will;

  • Ensure the continued profitability of the business by ensuring that any clients or customers’ accounts which fall behind with their agreed payment schedule are handled appropriately.
  • Ensure that client accounts operate within their agreed credit limits and do not begin to pose a substantial credit risk.
  • Be responsible for contacting customers whose payments have failed in order to arrange alternative methods of payment.
  • You will be required to build rapport with customers very quickly and will be able to successfully negotiate payment of the outstanding debt or a suitable payment scheme.
  • In cases where collection is not possible you will use your judgment to escalate overdue accounts to management.
  • Ensure that the payment process is free of any errors; and, if located, use your initiative to resolve these issues.
  • Assist with litigation proceedings should these become necessary
