Reporting into the managing partner at the practice, you will be responsible for your own client portfolio, preparing management accounts ready for review by the partners. With the added opportunity to attend client meetings once settled into the role.

Job Description:

  • Reconciling fixed asset schedules and posting depreciation
  • Calculating and posting prepayments and accruals
  • Bank reconciliations to trial balance
  • Posting payroll journals
  • Reconciling VAT returns to trial balance
  • Posting other month end journals
  • Reconcile other balance sheet accounts
  • Reviewing the profit and loss schedule for issues/errors
  • Reporting on gross profit by revenue stream/customer, etc
  • Producing KPIs and other reports specific to the client’s industry and requirements
  • Processing small monthly payrolls in Sage/Xero
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Working with multiple currencies, bank accounts, departments and entities (beneficial)
  • Book keeping cover

Person required:

  • Some management accounts preparation experience is essential
  • A friendly, grounded and trustworthy individual
  • Sage 50 experience is essential
  • Fully competent with outlook & excel (Essential)
  • Xero experience is desirable
  • Payroll experience is desirable, especially sage payroll
  • Experience of working within an accountancy practice will be advantageous.
  • Part qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT
  • Car/driver essential
