A hard working and dedicated Year 3 teacher is required for a small primary school in the Wigan area.

Your new school
Your new school is a small primary school that serves the immediate community that surrounds it and the head teacher has worked hard to develop good reputation in this area. This is a one form entry school in a semi rural area and the school takes advantage of outdoor education opportunities available to them. The school has been graded 'Good' by OFSTED and is due another inspection soon.

Your new role
As a Year 3 teacher you will be responsible for carrying on the excellent work done by the Year 2 teacher to maintain the pupils level of progression. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing work across the whole National Curriculum and tracking pupils progress for the duration of your time at the school. You should also use your professional judgement to implement intervention where required and encourage the class TA to assist those who you identify are in need of help. The school has a focus on stretching the most able and raising the standards of all pupils through challenging work that makes them inquisitive learners.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will need to be a qualified teacher or newly qualified teacher with relevant experience of teaching a Year 3 class. You should also be able to evidence when you have made outstanding progress with a class or pupil, whether this be during a teaching placement or as a fully qualified teacher. A knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum is important to be aware of what pupils are aiming for and whilst at the school, guide pupils in the correct direction. An ability to offer extra curricular activities or be of assistance at a selection of clubs would also be of benefit to the school.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will have the opportunity to work at a supportive school and also have a chance to network with other local teachers through shared CPD events. You will receive competitive rates of pay during your time at the school in addition to numerous benefits you receive whilst working for Hays. When at the school you will receive the support and guidance from a Hays consultant who will work with you to find your next role.
