Your new school:
This Special school is Ofsted rated 'Good' and caters for pupils aged 3 to 16 with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). They are a well-established and very experienced local provider of quality specialised education provision and cater for young people with complex conditions. The school itself is located in a Hounslow and the nearest station is within a short walking distance. The school are looking to offer the right candidate the opportunity to trial up until Christmas with the view of being considered for a permanent position starting in January 2018.
Your new job:
In your new teaching job you will be delivering high quality lesson content, which will keep students engaged and motivated to create the best possible learning environment. You will be responsible for teaching 8 students with SpLD. Each student has an EHC Plan which includes mixed complex needs, visual impairment, physical disabilities, autism and challenging behavior. Each student is working on varying levels of academic development and the school would expect the right teacher to be able to tailor lessons accordingly.
These students are supported by multiple Learning Support Assistants and some students are also supported by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist who have implemented guidelines that need to be incorporated into the lesson plans. The curriculum is kept in line with the current academic level of each student, and they have individual structured timetables for the full academic year.

What you'll need to succeed:
* PGCE/ QTS in Education (or equivalent)
* Experience delivering students the national curriculum tailored to an SEND setting
* To be a motivated and passionate teacher with strong class management skills
* Previous experience working with students who have complex needs and/or SpLD
* Ability to work as part of a team and efficiently settle with strong ambition to progress
