Geography Teacher Job in Eastbourne, East Sussex paying £117-£198 per day working on a supply basis
Your new company
You will be working for a forward thinking school that is looking to recruit an experienced teacher from October until December initially. They are a small school located on the outskirts of Eastbourne and as a result of being a small school with a family feel; they have excellent support networks in place.
Your new role
You will be working full time either 4 or 5 days per week. You will be expected to do the planning, marking and assessment for the full term. As a result you will be paid your teaching pay scale for this. We expect all of our teachers who are on a longer term placement to partake in staff meetings and parent's evenings.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a Supply Teacher you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to TAs and other people in the school.
