Due to recent growth and consequent formalised structure, a highly successful multi-academy trust is currently looking to recruit an accomplished Management Accountant who would take responsibility for the financial reporting and governance of the organisation. The Role
As a member of the management team you would work to develop the trust's overall business strategy, conducting due diligence where necessary on key financial decisions. It is envisaged that in time this role will grow to Financial Director level. Responsibilities will include…
o Provide overall financial leadership to support long-term vision
o Ensure financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
o Take ownership of cash management policies and procedures, ensuring strict governance on all finance-related issues
o Work with the CEO on strategic planning, opportunities for growth, formulating strategies and efficiencies across the trust's six schools in London and Ipswich

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an influential individual with a broad commercial acumen and a creative and innovative approach to organisational challenges. You will be ACCA / FCA / CIMA qualified with significant management accounting experience and a proven track record developing and improving financial processes and, ideally within or working for education / public sector organisations.

Possessing an analytical and reflective mind-set, you will have proven thinking and organisational skills. Comfortable working with ambiguity and high expectation, you will relish tough challenges in a rewarding environment. As well as being a strong communicator with proven stakeholder management skills, you will exemplify a hard-working mentality in your career to date, demonstrating the highest levels of integrity and resilience, even in challenging times.
