On behalf of our client we are looking to recruit a Graduate Trainee Production Scheduler.

Our client is a specialist engineering company combining a number of niche processes to produce high integrity components for a variety of “blue chip” key customers in the Aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbines, Automotive and other specialist sectors. The manufacturing facility is housed in a purpose-built unit. With investment in modern equipment and robust lean manufacturing concepts implemented to produce cost competitive components.

The Role:

Working closely with the master production scheduler, and will involve checking of customer schedules, machine/production cell capacity planning, man power planning and ensuring deadlines are met. A key element of the role is to develop the recently implemented ERP (enterprise resource planning) system to improve the production planning process.

Key aspects of the role:

·Capacity planning

·Work allocation to machine cells

·Progress monitoring

·Operating the ERP system

·Liaising with sales to determine customer requirements

·Develop a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed

·Liaise with customers, suppliers, and maintenance

·Troubleshoots problems that occur during production, including staff shortages and machinery breakdowns

Essential qualities

·Excellent Organizational Skills

·Good Written and Oral Communication skills

·Mathematical and statistical skills

·Attention to Detail, Speed, and Accuracy,

·Computer Literacy

Qualifications

Preferably degree or HND qualified in the following subjects:

·Mathematics

·Engineering

·Business studies

·Production management
