This Outstanding school located in central Tower Hamlets is looking for a dynamic teaching assistant to join the team of support staff. There is a passion and commitment to raise pupil attainment through excellent support across the school and they are now looking for a teaching assistant to work within the team and especially work with the science department.

They looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and committed Teaching assistant to work alongside existing support staff in the Science department. You will be supporting students in Science at KS3, 4 and 5. There will also be support across some other subjects but 80% of the timetable is in the Science department.

The role is to support students within the Science department, this position would suit recent graduates with a Science degree. The ideal candidate should have a passion about Science and have a desire to support students and pass on their understanding to others. The school are looking for someone who is able to engage, motivate and work provocatively with all students. A teaching assistant who is able to enthuse about Science is essential.

The School itself is a large mixed school where pupils are valued and staff work well together to ensure good levels of progress are made. The school in recent years has had a transformation and the successful teaching assistance will be joining a large team of support staff. The progress of students at the school is excellent. Facilities are outstanding and each department is located in purpose built classrooms, staff also have access to a large communal areas for planning and communing where a calming and inviting atmosphere has been created.

As a specialist Science teaching assistant you will be working with all of the science teachers at the school and have the opportunity to learn from highly qualified and dedicated teachers. The role would ideally suit someone looking to become a teacher in the future. The ability to interact, communicate and engage with students is essential, in return for this the school will provide outstanding training.
