A dynamic and growing organisation at the heart of the Government's Energy Market Reform initiative are currently looking to expand their expert Legal Services team with a Commercial Lawyer. Your new role
Working closely with key external stakeholders and Lawyers within the team, you will report directly to the Head of Legal. Your role will be instrumental in advising on, drafting and negotiating a broad range of complex commercial contracts with key stakeholders including major energy and utilities businesses, investors and government officials. Your work will relate to multi-million pound contracts around the development of the UK's energy infrastructure. Focusing on contracts for difference, you will be involved with the full life cycle of major contracts spanning the renewables and energy sector, including offshore wind farms and nuclear power.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you should demonstrate a well rounded background in complex commercial contracts, with the ability to quickly assimilate and analyse high volumes of information. Relevant industry experience will be considered an advantage, in particular those with experience of working within the energy and utilities sector, construction and development or those with experience of advising on high value projects and financing. We would expect a Lawyer with 4PQE or more to have gained the relevant experience for this position.
