Management Accountant

Recruitment Solutions (Folkestone) Ltd are recruiting a Management Accountant for a very fast growing customer focused multinational business in the commercial sector based Folkestone . You must be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified or equivalent and ideally have background in shipping and logistics industry. The role is to support the Finance team and produce accurate relevant monthly financial information and quarterly forecasts in accordance to company accounting policies for 3 separate companies within the Group.

Locations: Folkestone and 1 day per week in Dover

Hours: Mon – Thurs 8:30 to 5:30 and Fridays 8:30 to 4:00 with a 40 min lunch)

Salary: Up to £40k Depending on experience

All About the Role!

    Preparing monthly management accounts (currently 3 subsidiaries with various local currencies)Managing the Finance function of the subsidiariesMaintaining accurate records of expenditure, revenue, assets and liabilities ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial informationProviding management reporting of both financial and non-financial information, identifying and analysing variances in expenditure by project and subsidiary, commenting on expenditure and providing financial insight to managementPreparing monthly forecast and annual budgets for P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flowPreparing VAT returns, the accounting disclosures in board packs and managing payrollWorking with the Finance Director to manage the finance FunctionLiaising with the head office accounting teams to ensure timely delivery of monthly reports
All about you!

·ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified or equivalent

    Strong proven work experience of financial accounting including balance sheet control, consolidations and reportingExcellent written & verbal communications skillsA high level of IT/systems competence encompassing accounting software and Microsoft ExcelNumerate with a very high level of attention to detailA flexible approach in a fast paced environment in order to provide whatever accounting support the business might require

·Efficient in Sage & excel

·Ideally shipping / Logistics background
