My client, a well-respected manufacturing company is keen to appoint a part qualified management accounts assistant to analyse and report on costs and profitability.

Reporting to the management accountant, responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and report on revenues, costs and margins (products, customers, projects)
  • Monthly cost centre analysis & reporting
  • Assist with monthly reporting & accounts preparation
  • Prepare monthly stock valuations
  • Stock adjustments and product costing
  • Weekly reporting – hours reports, fuel expenditure analysis
  • Prepare month end accruals for costs not invoiced
  • Reviewing company credit card expenditure
  • Facilitating transition to new employee expenses system and ongoing monitoring
  • Analysis of investment expenditure, assist with asset capitalization
  • Liaising with colleagues to resolve purchase ledger queries (highlighting backlogs, etc.)
  • To undertake other departmental tasks as required
  • Role will suit an part qualified assistant management accountant with high level IT skills (Intermediate/Advance Excel – Vlookup/Pivot Tables etc.), experience of SAP will be an advantage. You will have at least 2 years experience of working within an accounts department with solid month exposure with accuracy and attention to detail.
