We are looking to appoint an inspirational mathematics teacher to work within our very successful department
Lea Manor High School is an 11 - 16 mixed comprehensive in Luton. Our recent Ofsted in December, 2013, stated: 'Classrooms are often vibrant and stimulating environments, for example the music and drama rooms. This helps students become interested in the lessons.' 'Students behave consistently well in class. They enjoy their lessons and find the work interesting. They participate with enthusiasm in discussions. In group activities, students work positively with all their classmates, not just their best friends.'
We are looking to appoint an inspirational mathematics teacher to work within our very successful mathematics department. You will join a large, innovative, ambitious and high performing team with a dynamic Head of Subject who supports the development of outstanding practice across the Department. You must have very good subject knowledge, be able to plan effectively to achieve targets and be able to inspire and motivate students. There will be opportunities to teach Maths across the 11 to 16 age and ability range.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified teacher to deliver outstanding teaching and learning within this subject. This position would suit an experienced teacher with leadership potential or a newly qualified teacher looking to develop their skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Lea Manor is a mixed comprehensive school that has been recently refurbished. Ofsted judged us as a good school in December 2013 and said that, 'Students' attainment and progress in mathematics is consistently strong.' Last year 74% of pupils achieved a grade A* to C in mathematics compared to 62% nationally.
