As specialists in online retailing we've been using data to drive decision making and performance for years. Each year the amount of data available to us and the opportunities to analyse it have increased. By making use of our very own award winning, multi-channel marketing intelligence platform, Forecaster, we can offer our clients the opportunity to utilise this data to increase profits from their online marketing.

We are now searching for a self-driven, team player to join our team of world class Data Scientists and Statisticians. You will be responsible for implementing actionable data-driven analytic projects to help our clients address their online marketing strategies and also developing predictive models for main online marketing channels; which will include paid search, shopping comparison and display advertising.

Key Responsibilities;
- Transforming large, complex datasets into pragmatic, actionable insights
- Query, clean and manage large datasets using SQL
- Working and developing statistical code within 'R' which will integrate with Forecaster core code whilst demonstrating R and coding best practice
- Utilise appropriate statistical data analysis, predictive modelling, and simulation tools to assist decision making
- Work to improve existing models through improved accuracy and performance
- Conduct research and identify appropriate statistical and computational methods, implementing them in code and delivering them to production
- Responsible for developing new channels and triggers within the model or model enhancements
- Build effective working relationships within the team and with members in other departments
- Work with internal teams to understand the business problems and processes, identifying opportunities to improve these, through statistical modelling and creating actionable insights
- Help to identify commercial opportunities through analysis and exploitation of data

Desired Skills and Experience
Academically strong, you will have a PhD degree in a quantitative discipline such Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or Physics and have experience of statistical data analysis and modelling in a language such as R. You will need to:
- Demonstrate an ability to solve challenging scientific problems
- Have experience analysing large data sets and uncovering key insights that drive actionable decisions
- Demonstrate flexibility whilst working in teams to attain common objectives
- Be inherently curious and driven to push the boundaries of knowledge
- Develop bespoke statistical models for data analysis
- Be a confident programmer in R or Python
- Demonstrate an ability to generate robust hypotheses and construct questions in response to uncertain requests from the wider business
- Be able to articulate complex problems and solutions to a non-technical audience
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Deliver quality work to tight deadlines
