Purchase Ledger Supervisor job in Halifax.

JHE & Partners are currently working with a rapidly expanding manufacturing business in Halifax who are looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a superb opportunity for anyone who is looking for a step up into management or equally someone who has managed a small team previously.

The successful candidate will have complete responsibility for the Purchase Ledger function, from processing invoices to weekly payment runs via BACS as well as staff training and development. There is also a great opportunity to improve processes and have a real impact on how the company operates.

Day to day duties will involve:

  • Managing the Purchase Ledger team
  • Improving processes to increase efficiency within the team
  • Reporting to the Financial Controller, working closely with management across the business
  • Hands on Purchase Ledger
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Processing of payment runs

  • Applicants will ideally have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel as well as a finance system such as Sage, SAP or Oracle.
