A company near Shepton Mallet has recently adopted the S&OP planning process in its business however it is at the early stages of this and now needs to refine Step 2 (Demand) to enable Step 3 (Supply) to be able to manufacture the appropriate product quantities in the most efficient manner.
The business customers in multiple Sales Channels, with Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers and National Sales Managers responsible for forecast up to 18 months in advance by product (SKU)
The forecast needs to consider both ‘base’ sales and promotional uplifts and convert into both volume and sales value, together with the cost of promotions.
Potential to develop Operational Overhead Reports and KPIS, together with an overall dashboard for the business so that the business can monitor the ‘health’ of the business in a very simple manner.
All tools developed will also need to be handed over to the team as a part of the process.
Strong Business Acumen and understanding around sales forecasting.
Advance Excel Skills – to include VLOOKUP’s as a minimum.
Good understanding of ERP systems
Strong communications skills.
