Major Incident Manager/ Central Government/ ServiceNow/ ITIL/ Contract/ London

My client, a leading Central Government organisation, are looking for a Major Incident Manager to join their expanding team based in London. This an initial 6 month rolling contract and its paying up to £500 per day.

The Major Incident Manager will be responsible for the implentation of the major incident management process from scratch as part of the ongoing ServiceNow project. They will drive the process to ensure that service is setup as quickly as possible, minimising the adverse impact on business operations, and ensuring that the best possible levels of service quality and availability are in place.

Major Incident Manager will be responsible for assessing situations, making appropriate interventions, directing and facilitating resolution activity. Ensuring appropriate escalation, at their discretion during an incident, within Service Operations, Delivery Groups, suppliers and other members of the IT community.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Previous experience implementing Major Incident Management plan from scratch essential
Has an excellent understanding of service management within adverse/ large organisation and relevant experience in IT Operational Management
Experience managing major incidents with demonstrable understanding of both business and service impact in a large organisation
Proven commitment to IT Service Management best practices, especially Problem Management and Incident Management
Experience with ServiceNow essential
Qualification in ITIL V3 highly desirable
Central Government experience highly desirable
