The opportunity
An opportunity has arisen within the growing Air Platform Integration organisation to support the delivery of one of MBDA's air launched weapons onto fixed and rotary wing, manned and unmanned air platforms for both UK and Export customers.

The Role

- Technically supporting the integration of complex MBDA air-launched weapon systems onto a wide range of fixed wing and rotary platforms, working within the project team, but working closely with the platform design authorities and customer community.
- Producing and agreeing the Interface Control Document with the platform design authority.
- Co-ordinating a range of subject matter experts both within MBDA and externally.
- Planning and delivering a wide range of trials and tests associated with the integration of weapons onto platforms.
- Supporting Design Certification and release to service of the integrated system.Production of Design Verification Plans and Certificates of Design.

What are we looking for?

- Essential:
- Ideally an appropriate Engineering Degree or Masters (or equivalent) OR HNC/HND level (or equivalent).
- Good verbal, presentation and written communication skills
- Practical knowledge of basic systems engineering principles and processes.

- Pro-active and be capable of working on their own initiative
Desirable: - Knowledge of Mil-Std-1760 and Def Stan 1553 highly desirable
- Experience in the defence sector in integration of systems onto fixed wing or rotary platforms
- Ability to work in a complex multi-stakeholder environment, sometimes with significant ambiguity
- Experience in producing aircraft Interface Control Documents
