The ideal candidate for this SEN teaching assistant position will be a graduate who has a real passion for supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You must have a supportive and caring personality as well as high levels of resilience and a firm but fair approach. We want to see graduates with the ambition to become Educational Psychologists or Child Psychologists keen to build relevant experience in a paid role providing support on a 1:1 basis with a child who has autism and communication difficulties.

Any previous experience working with children with SEN and EBD will stand you in good stead for this role and is extremely desirable. The extensive support you will be given from a seasoned SENCo will put you in a great position to kick-start your role as an educational psychologist and this role could be perfect for you.
