Product Developer and Application Support
NHBC has an exciting opportunity for a Product Developer and Application Support to join the team based in Milton Keynes. You will be on a full time permanent contract, with a highly competitive salary of £39,500 - £43,500 per annum.
NHBC (National House-Building Council) is a non-profit distributing company and the leading warranty and insurance provider and standard setter for UK house-building for new and newly converted homes. We reinvest all our surpluses in achieving our primary purpose: improving quality in house building to protect homeowners through cover provided by the NHBC Buildmark policy.
As operations continue to develop and improve its systems and process, the need for experts in those system and process grows. The Product Developer and Application Support will support and drive change, as well as provide insights based on the wealth of data created within NHBC.
What are the responsibilities of the Product Developer and Application Support role?
You will have responsibility for Developing and maintaining a series of products and business tools based on Confirmit and Oracle Web Center.
As Application Support you will work with Builders and internal users to resolve any issues with systems and information and undertake root cause analysis to implement preventative measures and eliminate reoccurrence of errors.
You should be able to work well under pressure and be adept at taking problems and seeing them through to resolution with minimal supervision. You also should be well presented and professional, an excellent communicator, very client focussed with good interpersonal skills.
What skills do I need to have to become a Product Developer and Application Support?
Ideally you should have an appreciation of the capabilities of Oracle Web center suite and Confirmit SaaS. You should also have a working knowledge of the latest HTML, CSS and SQL. Any knowledge of C#/VB.Net, ASP.Net and SSRS would also be beneficial. A logical approach with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy to ensure data integrity of data is also required.
Working with a team of Developers, Data Analysts and Application support, you will join a dynamic team with a wide range of skills that drives Product Innovation.
The role is principally based from Milton Keynes office, but there may be opportunity for some home working.

- The starting salary will be from £39,500 to £43,500 per annum. Please note salary on appointment will be dependent on experience.
