The role will involve running support sessions, ranging from group sessions to individual targeted support with a number of children of all abilities. You will plan alongside the Y3 class teacher and as your confidence builds you will be given the freedom to plan your own fun and engaging sessions. This Y3 Maths Assistant position involves supporting the individual needs of the pupils in class whilst personalising their learning through adapting lesson planning and activities in order to plug gaps in areas such as problem solving.
To be considered for this role you will need to be an inspiring Maths graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree. You will be passionate about education and have some previous experience of working with young people but not necessarily within a school setting. The school are looking for graduates with the drive to assess and meet the social and academic needs of groups of children. The ideal candidate for this Y3 Maths Teaching Assistant role should be passionate about maths and be able to inspire and engage the pupils they teach.
