The GUI Software Engineer?s activities

  • The design, development and evolution of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) of the current and future generations of company products
  • Working in line with the internal quality system procedures
  • Following the software life-cycle standard for medical devices.
  • Collaborate with other team members and across the company to leverage the GUI quality and improve the user experience.
  • Must have previous GUI design, C# and Windows 10 experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect inputs from stakeholders and define the design in accordance with the architecture to be agreed with Software Architect.
  • Document the UI architecture and design, including traceability.
  • Implement and maintain (including anomalies resolution) the UI code of the company products in line with the company QMS, coding standard and procedures.
  • Improve the architecture of the products for maintainability and reliability (e.g. feasibilities).

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Engineering degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in delivering complex software (SW) systems.
  • Experience of working to the requirements of a Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge of SW lifecycle models and related standards (e.g. BN ES 62304).
  • Multidisciplinary approach.
  • Problem solving.
  • Configuration management systems (e.g. SVN).
  • Requirement management systems (e.g. Cognition).
  • Bug tracking systems (e.g. JIRA).
  • Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
  • Design for testability.
  • Real-time multi-thread systems.
  • Microsoft Windows Embedded OSs.
  • C++, C#.
  • .NET WPF and XAML.
  • Xamarin forms.
  • MVVM architecture.
  • Databases.
  • HTML, CSS.
