As a Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant your role will primarily involve working with GCSE students in Science, however the will be requirement to provide A-level support in Physics. Due to the detailed curriculum knowledge required a degree in Physics is essential for this position. Knowledge of additional sciences on top of your specialism would be a fantastic positive and would benefit the schools science department as will a sound understanding of Mathematics.

Within the Physics Teaching Assistant role you will be supporting the class teacher over an array of topics, helping students grasp theories and gain a better understanding of learning objectives in science. Throughout your time at the school you will find yourself work within the classroom and in smaller groups, aiding students who may need additional support in certain areas of science topics.

This experience would be an excellent boost for any PGCE, Schools Direct or Masters application and also offers a competitive pay of up to £300 per week, working Monday to Friday in school hours.
