We are looking for a dedicated Systems Specialist to join the Enterprise Systems Services team working from Crawley. Occasional travel may be required.

As one of the Systems Specialists you will work on complex projects and be responsible for the deployment, development and support of business critical applications across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Day to day operational support of a number of varied enterprise applications, such as PDMLink, other PTC-based and Siemens Teamcenter PLM systems, Manufacturing and customer focussed systems
  • Activities to maintain the service - monitoring the applications, proactive maintenance, user management
  • Resolution of incidents and service requests within defined service level agreements
  • Work with project groups on the implementation of business projects - including providing analysis and technical expertise to deliver services to our business customers
  • Working collaboratively with our customers to establish application requirements and test strategies in order to improve services
  • Applying your technical expertise and project knowledge to identify and act on opportunities to drive cost efficiencies through the application of products
  • Work closely with IT project and UK business users to manage development tasks and ensure successful end to end support of business critical applications across all Thales UK sites
  • Undertake other application support / maintenance tasks as directed by the Enterprise Systems Services Manager

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
  • Graduate with suitable Information Technology or Engineering degree, or recent relevant experience
  • Analytical and logical mind with strong organisational, communication and problem solving skills
  • Abiliity to build strong relationships with colleagues throughout Thales
  • Knowledge of business processes and IT support methods and standards such as ITIL
  • Experience of documenting support processes and technical information to differing user bases
  • Ability to prioritise work and deliver results in a pressurised environment, balancing conflicting demands to achieve acceptable outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, including utilising Microsoft Office products

  • Knowledge of PTC PDMLink, or exposure to other PLM solutions
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing systems such as MES
  • Knowledge of SQL and Oracle administration
  • Skills in object-oriented design and programming
  • Experience of working in an IT transformation project
  • Experience of working in an applications environment
