Harris Global are currently partnered with a leading infrastructure services organisation who are recruiting for an Oracle Application Support Analyst.

The successful Oracle Application Support Analyst will be responsible for the provision of application maintenance and support services to users of organisation?s business systems and to the IT function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st / 2nd line support for Oracle eBusiness Suite and associated applications, and maintain the solutions by fault finding, diagnosing and fixing issues which arise.
  • Application configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance for Oracle eBusiness Suite and related applications.
  • Report writing and testing.
  • Working with other team members and company departments to ensure the integrity of the system is maintained.
  • Provide correct responses to requests for support by identifying solutions which may include making modifications to system parameters, developing work-around?s, specify enhancements, reconfiguring systems, changing operating procedures, producing documentation, or escalating requests to software suppliers or other team members. Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.
  • Support the Business Analyst team in the implementation of new software features, capturing end-user issues and configuring, testing and integrating as necessary.
  • Participate in meetings as required discuss progress and issues to be resolved, and report progress on a regular basis

Skills Required

  • Experience of working in an Oracle Applications support role
  • Background in at least one business area and how it relates to Oracle Applications ? e.g. Financials, Purchasing
  • Strong ability to collect and analyse information, identify key themes, trends, or issues, and draw conclusions
  • Administration and report writing experience of Oracle Reporting tools
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Experience of writing and executing test scripts
  • Effective working knowledge of SQL and Oracle eBusiness Suite table structure
  • Experience of Oracle Projects (PA)
  • Implementation or upgrade experience
