Experienced Merchandiser with excellent retail merchandising experience is required for our growing client. You will have 5+ years of merchandising experience and be looking to join a fantastic company which is a great place to work.

Responsibilities as Merchandiser will include:

  • Use analysis to quantify risks and opportunities to make proposals on strategies for the product.
  • Build a financial range plan for each season using detailed analysis in conjunction with Head of Product.
  • Create seasonal OTB in partnership with the Buying/Product Manager.
  • Maintain supplier cashflow.
  • Feedback regular updates into the weekly performance meetings on the impact from demand forecasting & WSSI.
  • Monitor stock commitment and review actual against planned stock levels, and inform/ take appropriate actions to ensure targets are kept within weekly coverage range. Ensure opportunities of seasonal crossovers, peak trading weeks and specific campaign are maximised.
  • Develop trading strategies to optimise the full price sell through and minimise the impact on exit strategy. Make recommendations for Sale/Promotional periods.
  • Review stock figures and advise solutions to any over/under stock issues.
  • Support stores in ensuring stock levels are at maximum to help the team achieve sales targets.
  • Run analysis on previous specific season sales for end decision of current season’s lines.
  • Analyse every aspect of bestsellers – price point, colour, collection/style, product type etc.
  • Identify production and supply difficulties and deal with delays or problems and offer solutions for the purchasing team.
  • Offer support to design team on any information regarding past product or continuity lines.
  • Analyse product costs and margin profit and find solutions to minimise them.
  • Develop, train and support team members to fulfil their potential.
Requirements for this Merchandiser role:

  • Already operating in a Merchandiser role with a minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills are extremely important to this role.
  • Strong forecasting skills necessary.
  • Working within timeframes and adhering to deadlines for all tasks.
  • Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and present financial strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Have the capability to be a team player and offer support to other departments within the company.
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility are essential to delivering good work.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Advanced excel skills.
