Russam GMS is working with a medium sized charity in Lancashire. They urgently need an interim accountant to carry out a short burst of work looking at the financials behind their service lines and make recommendations to the board as part of a wider change programme
Role & Responsibilities
Initially for 3-4 weeks (commencing early November) the interim Management Accountant will carry out a detailed financial analysis of each service/activity line and break down the costs (both direct and indirect), income and allocation of overheads. It will involve working with a small finance team and very closely with the interim CEO. Speed will be essential in terms of getting someone in, making recommendations and deciding on delivery plan. There is scope for ongoing work beyond the initial diagnostic exercise.
The Desired Applicant
The interim Accountant will:
? Be a Qualified accountant- (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIPFA or equivalent)
? Experience of service line reporting and analysis; cost modelling
? Experience working with Sage 50 accounts package
? Not-for-profit / SORP experience would be beneficial but not essential
? A self-starter who is able to work with minimum supervision; and is results oriented
