Maintenance Engineer required for a leading automotive parts manufacturer based in Gainsborough. As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will ensure the effective running of all plant and equipment through regular maintenance programmes. This will prevent breakdowns and lost equipment efficiencies through proactive use of Mechanical and Electrical planned maintenance for all equipment.

This position will be working a busy day shift but applicants must be flexible as very rarely the night shift may require covering (15.30 - 02.00)

Maintenance Engineer Role:

Ensure all equipment runs reliably with no faults forward.

Ensure fast and effective breakdown response through effective fault-finding techniques and root cause analysis.

Undertake all planned maintenance schedules for Vehicles, plant and equipment.

Install and commission of new plant and machinery as required.

De-commission and relocate existing plant and machinery as required.

Work closely with other departments as required in a professional, polite and efficient manner.

To carry out any reasonable request/duty as required by a Supervisor, Manager or Director.

Carry out all work in a safe and efficient manner.

Ensure all work area housekeeping standards are maintained.

Ensure all relevant documentation is generated and maintained as required.

Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

A good general education with City & Guilds, or equivalent, in Engineering.

Bias towards mechanical engineering with electrical fault-finding capabilities.

Recognised Apprenticeship served.

Effective fault-finding of Mechanical and Electrical systems.

Effective fault-finding of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.

Planned and predictive maintenance techniques.

General mechanical and plant and machinery maintenance.

Sound knowledge of H&S at Work regulations.

Able to understand mechanical, electrical and schematic drawings.

Conscientious, responsive and reliable.

Able to liaise effectively with all levels of personnel - verbal and written.

Enthusiastic, flexible and open minded.

Excellent problem solver.

Ability to work to deadlines, either individually or within a team.

Good Housekeeping practises with a Bias towards 5S activities.
