The DevOps Engineer / System Administrator Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented LAMP DevOps/System Administrator to manage our site infrastructure. You will be required to work with senior members of the operations and development teams to maintain our development, staging & production infrastructure and support the rollout of new releases. Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, a penchant for security and solid dev + sysadmin skills.
DevOps Engineer / System Administrator Required Skills:
+ Linux expert w/ experience in load-balanced web servers within AWS infrastructure
+ MySQL administration & tuning
+ Shell scripting, automation using Chef/Opsworks or similar
+ Nginx, Vagrant
+ Network & System Security. Enterprise level network/system security experience is a significant plus
+ Server monitoring, Log analysis, performance management, KPI monitoring, tuning, scaling infrastructure up & down (when required based on demand)
This is a mid-level position; we're looking for somebody who has at least 2+ years of Linux system administration with high volume web sites, deploying Web Services in PHP. You will have access to senior members of the team for mentoring & training, but we still expect you to be able to hit the ground running.
We are located in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Oxford, so own transport is required.
