We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Financial Planner to join our International Partnership, the successful candidate will be based in our state of the art offices in Central Birmingham. Experience - Financial Planning experience, technical competency of investment/ wealth management, protection /risk, pension and retirement advice, Dip PFS (or working towards)
Salary - £DOE
Location -Birmingham, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Kings Heath, Knowle, Redditch, Halesowen, Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Coleshill, Worcestershire.

ü Assist Financial Planning team in enabling them to provide and implement suitable planning advice
ü Ensure appropriate technical knowledge and market awareness is maintained
ü Liaise with the clients booking meetings and answering queries etc
ü Pre meeting preparations including background research, portfolio performance statistics and any formal paperwork/ forms for completion
ü Attend planning meetings and record minutes and action points
ü Post client meeting support to the team including; issuing client meeting notes, liaise with clients over paperwork to be returned and complete other action points as required
ü Gather information from third providers and internal sources
ü Draft engagement packs and accompanying compliance requirements
ü Help with any Business Development initiatives and take personal responsibility for your own Business Development internally and externally
ü Ensure correct submission of all new applications in accordance with internal / regulatory standards by effective communication, work flow management and record-keeping/ database management
ü Ensure you record/ maintain information on internal software
ü Ensure file or store all records and files in accordance with internal standards
ü Produce and monitor business statistics and pipeline
ü Financial Planning experience in a professional practice
ü Technical competence in areas of investment / wealth management
ü Dip PFS or working towards
ü Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
ü Strong interpersonal skills
ü Strong IT skills including use of computing/cashflow modelling experience
ü Adaptable to changing demands and priorities
ü Demonstrates commitment to own development
ü Able to prioritise workload
ü Able to work deadlines
ü Able to work as a team and independently
ü Prepared to travel to regional offices
