The Opportunity

Due to expansion, some exciting opportunities have arisen for entrepreneurial Business Managers and Business Manager Designates to join the market-leading distributor of electrical wholesale products in the UK.

We are seeking to recruit effective business Managers to join their highly successful management team, regardless of your current market sector.

A background in a distributive trade where business to business relationships are developed is a distinct advantage. For example, a background working in a builders merchant, plumbing merchant, or tool distributors would be ideal where products are being distributed to mainly business customers...eg contractors.

You will be commercially astute, with a solid intellect and will enjoy the responsibility of planning and implementing a sales and commercial development plan for your business, including full Profit & Loss responsibility, and day-to-day operational responsibility. You will be commercially astute and have the ability to think strategically, control costs and manage people.

Successful candidates will also have the strong organisational and leadership skills to empower and develop their team on a daily basis. The ability to positively influence relationships with both customers and suppliers is essential, for which you will need a proven sales management and development background.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for running the site including planning and implementing a strategic development plan, a full P&L, staffing, sales, marketing, logistics, purchasing and administration
  • Develop the business further to ensure its continued success
  • Manage sales and look after key accounts
  • Requirements
    You should be an experienced manager or sales manager from a commercial industrial wholesale sales and distribution background. This could include backgrounds such as a builders merchant, plumbers merchant, tool & plant hire, timber merchant, automotive parts sales. Experience and understanding of the wholesale route to market would be a definite advantage.
