Test Engineer, reporting to the Test Engineering Team Leader, based in Manufacturing Test Engineering team at Congleton.
The key element of this role is to deliver World Class test solutions for new and existing PCB products underpinning our Zero Defect Quality Culture.
As part of Manufacturing Engineering's fast-paced and dynamic environment, your primary focus is on the factory, providing excellent test solutions, on time, and helping to drive on-going productivity improvements for the business. You will support and inspire the manufacturing teams that deliver outstanding products for our Customers. Most importantly, you share the Siemens values with everyone in your team and the business.
What are my responsibilities?
The specification, procurement, introduction and on-going support/improvement (Ownership) of Teradyne Spectrum PCB Test Applications and Device Programming solutions, The role may expand to other PCB test platforms.
You will liaise with Teradyne and third party suppliers to ensure Congleton continues to be provided with first class PCB Test Solutions in a timely and cost effective manner. You will work closely with the R&D team and test colleagues ensuring maximum test coverage for our products, and have another close relationship with cell leaders, segment leaders and planners ensuring the timely delivery of manufacturing test solutions.
You will act as mentor to the technician team, peers and other manufacturing personnel.
What do I need to qualify for the role?HNC or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar discipline. Good working knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuitry. Strong knowledge of PCB ICT and function test principles and practices. Experience of modifying and managing Teradyne PCB test programs. Experience of diagnosis and fault finding on Teradyne PCB test systems/fixtures. Knowledge of Boundary Scan theory and implementation.
Experience of C software or similar high level language
