- School Administrator - Reference 358 - Hours: Part Time: 25 hours per week - Location: Southampton (SO31) - Salary: Band D, Level 1 £15,476 per annum pro rata working 39 weeks per year - Actual Salary for 25 Hours p/week: £10,317.33 - Closing date: 19th November 2017 - Fairways School is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic part time School Administrator to work as part of an established team in Swanwick, Southampton. The hours are flexible but will ideally be worked over all 5 school days. Fairways School delivers education to challenging young people with social, emotional and mental health needs who are aged between 11- 18 years of age. The school site in Swanwick is registered for up to 20 young people. Crucial to the success of this post is an ability to undertake standard administration and financial tasks, maintain accurate school and pupil records and to maintain a professional manner when answering the phone and communicating with parents and visitors. The ideal candidate must be able to think creatively with flair and flexibility in a challenging learning environment. Job Responsibilities The main duties of the role will include: - Carrying out all the day to day school administration - Taking responsibility for financial tasks including the petty cash and monitoring of this process - Maintaining a professional manner when liaising with parents and visitors - Assist the Head of School in different tasks such as updating company policies and organise staffing rota`s - Monitor absences and maintain pupil files to a high standard. Personal Skills Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in an administration role, possess a good working knowledge of MS Office and have a flexible approach to tasks and be resilient under pressure. In addition, we need a team player, someone who is able to organize their workload and that of others, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants must have a full driving licence and have access to the use of a car. All staff will undergo DBS checks at the enhanced level.
