While most of our network is run by dedicated Franchise Partners, the Trowbridge depot is one of our successful in-house retail businesses owned by apetito. The Retail Operations Manager will be part of an apetito team of in-house Managers, supported by Finance, HR and Marketing colleagues based in our Business Support Centre in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. Our WFF teams are based in Chesterfield, East Kent, Halifax, South Devon, Southport, Warrington, Witham and, of course, Trowbridge.

The key focus of the Retail Operations Manager is to deliver an exceptional level of business growth and profitability. The successful candidate will be able to lead and inspire their own local team to achieve greater success. Your team will include drivers, customer service advisors, cold store pickers and field marketer.

At Trowbridge, the Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for the depot and all operations; including our tele-sales, field marketing activities, cold store and delivery vehicles. As the Wiltshire Farm Foods depot in Wiltshire, the Trowbridge team will host important visitors including colleagues, franchise partners and external agencies. WFF Trowbridge needs to be our ?flagship? depot with excellent standards, high team engagement and Top Quartile performance.

Objectives and Key performance indicators (KPI?s) include:

Top Quartile sales growth e.g.

  • Achieve sales targets
  • Increase new customer acquisition
  • Improve customer retention

Profit & achieving our P&L objectives:

  • Achieve operational benchmarks e.g. Labour hours, health & safety & efficiency of our delivery & picking operation

The Retail Operations Manager is expected to deliver outstanding local marketing campaigns, adopt best practice and maximise the benefits of our Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) system.

The role will have full P&L responsibility and will report directly to the Head of Retail Operations.
