Financial Services Support Administrator

Location: Bristol, Avon

Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)

Job type: Permanent, full time - Hours: Mon - Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm

Administrator for busy Independent Financial Advisers

Our client was established in 1986. They specialise in giving retirement advice to a wide range of personal and corporate clients.

The Financial Adviser Support role

They are looking for an experienced administrator to work in the office. You will need to be able to pick up this role quickly and so will be expected to have a fair understanding of financial terms and products. Ideally this candidate would have a background working within the financial services industry such as with an insurance company or with another Independent Financial Adviser.

You will be required to answer complex queries which will mean making effective investigations and be constantly learning. You will be expected to undertake any work which needs to be done, but your specific role in the office will include the following:

  • Obtaining quotes and policy information from insurance companies
  • Research of funds and products
  • Producing client reports & letters
  • Producing suitability reports
  • Compiling attachments for reports
  • Compiling and completing application forms
  • General correspondence with clients and insurance companies, via telephone, email or letter
  • General office duties i.e. filing, organising files, archiving, answering the telephone

The ideal Financial Adviser will need the following attributes:

  • At least two years related experience.
  • Organised, proactive and observant with experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to identify potential problems and to seek out solutions.
  • Able to work on your own; organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good attention to detail and an eye for presentation
  • Relevant qualifications will be valued.

Required Skills:

Financial Services Report Writing, Telephone Manner, Letter Writing

Successful candidates would also be expected to undertake the in-house training programme in order to take the professional exams. The costs of which will be covered by the company.
