Would you love a job that allows you to spread your passion and knowledge of English to young people, in order to develop an appreciation and love for your subject?

Perhaps you are looking for paid work experience that will equip you with the necessary skills and qualities to become an outstanding teacher in 2018?

If you are a talented English graduate and want to inspire and excite the next generation then this role would be ideal for you!

At i-teachers we work closely with schools who are looking for talented graduates to join their supportive and dedicated team. Our aim is to place you at a school that would benefit your future career plans and get the best out of your skills and knowledge.

If this role is not quite what you are looking for - perhaps it's the wrong area, you need more responsibility or you are passionate about a different subject, then call Jamie at i-teachers to have a friendly chat about other opportunities.

  • Graduate English Teaching Assistant
  • Minimum 2:1 preferably
  • Perfect PGCE or School Direct experience
  • Excellent Teacher Training experience
  • Wolverhampton, West Midlands
  • Monday - Friday role, term time only
  • Paid £60 - £65 a day

You will work as a Teaching Assistant under the guidance of an ambitious and committed Head of English, to support pupils in and out of the classroom. Many of the students that you will work with will be at that critical C/D grade borderline and it will be part of your job to try to push them to achieve their very best. You will have strong communication skills and a flair for your subject. You will need to be confident to liaise between both students, class teachers and on occasions parents. You will be working within a supportive English Department and will be required to work with a flexible and adaptable approach.

One day you may be required to support the class teacher with preparing resources and delivering the curriculum, the next you may be required to work closely with a group of students that need a little push. Once you become more confident, you will have the opportunity to prepare and lead your own interventions and classes.

The schools have a proven track record of working with and developing graduates, giving them the required skills and experience to become future 'Outstanding' teachers! Most have teacher training programmes and use this vital experience 'foundation year' before starting teacher training the following academic year.

So, if you have a strong academic background, and are looking to build your experience within an amazing Secondary School setting then please send your CV to Jamie at i-teachers right away!
