You should have previously managed a small to medium sized project preferably in the offshore construction industry and be able to demonstrate your success in delivery but more importantly how you overcame various hurdles. The role will also require heavy interaction with and involvement of lead design engineers as part of the team or as an interface. Apart from engineers, internal stakeholder management will include procurement, quality, health and safety and senior managers. From an external point of view, clients, certification bodies and various marine insuring stakeholders will naturally be an intrinsic element of the project.

Collaboration and communication skills are therefore pivotal to the role. A good grasp of fundamental key contractual terms and contract types coupled with a track record of change management is expected to be part of your armory.

The role is predominantly Manchester based however as project life goes, there is an expectation of extensive amount of travel. During the construction period of the project which may be from 9 to 12 months, for example, it will not be unusual for you to be at the construction site for 3-4 days weekly.
