This exciting post offers an inspiring graduate with Spanish a great opportunity to join an established and thriving school, supporting Year 7 students who are EAL, many of which are international new arrivals, with the transition into the UK and secondary school. You will run interventions on 1:1 or small group basis to bring on literacy skills with those students struggling with language.

To be successfully appointed to this EAL Teaching Assistant role, you will need to have a language degree which includes Spanish from a UK institution, ideally Russell Group, with a minimum 2:1 result and strong A Levels. Diversity and inclusivity are high on the agenda for the school's aims, as there are higher than average numbers of EAL learners due to the wide range of cultures within the local community. Parent engagement and support for the school is high, and it has become a real hub of the community.
