Technical Product Owner - Technology/App/Web
Product Owner/Product Manager - Technology/App/Web - London - £60-70k
I am currently working on an exciting role for an enthusiastic Technical Product Owner to join a technology client based in central London. The role is slightly different to your standard role where you will have a wide remit and almost act as a hybrid between a product owner and a BA.
The main aspect of this role is around rapid prototyping and creating minimum viable products MVPs using Design Sprints and workshops to flesh out requirements with the users.
Due to the rapid prototyping aspect of this role, you will be working in a small team that consist of UX designers, front-end developers and testers. You must be able to work quickly and make decisions to convince the stakeholders on whether to either invest in the product development or have the information/confidence to inform the stakeholders why you should not invest and bin it.
What might a normal task look like? Here is an example. An internal customer comes to you with the problem and a rough idea on a Friday afternoon. It seems like a good idea to you so you decide that next week you are going to have a design sprint to flesh it out and decide if it's a good idea to move into development. With the head of product development, you come up with a team of people you want to think that would be beneficial to have involved, understand the problem, brainstorm ideas to solve the problem, decide what you want to build, prototype the product and do some user testing. Then document and conduct some ROI analysis to present back to stakeholders for investment or not. This will typically take around a week or so. That's a typical scenario for this role!
Key points for this role
- Strong knowledge of agile
- Running workshops/design sprints
- Requirements gathering
- Return on investment (ROI) analysis
- Rapid prototyping and MVPs
- Strong presentation and communication skills
This is a great role for an individual who is looking for a role that is fast-paced, varied and rewarding. If you would like to know more info then please apply to Lloyd Axten at Energon people for an immediate response. Look forward to hearing from you!
