Mechanical Maintenance Engineer job in Alfreton. Day shifts, Monday - Friday

Having recently invested in new equipment and machinery, they now require a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

Your new role
You will be part of a skilled maintenance team servicing equipment to agreed PM schedules and the 1st Line response to breakdowns. You'll carry out fault finding and repairs to extrusion lines, moulding machines, ancillary equipment, automated cells and butt fusion equipment and also carry out agreed improvement modifications to capital equipment. You must carry out mechanical and electrical work as required or instructed in a safe and efficient manner at all times, completing daily logs and data capture via CMMS system.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a time served Mechanical Engineer with demonstrable experience of working in a manufacturing environment. Your core mechanical skills will include welding/fabrication, overhaul of pumps, fans and blower. You will also need to have hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience, be competent in lifting and slinging. Your excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work co-operatively within a team will be very useful as will your proven ability to fault find and problem solve. You are competent in use of workshop equipment for example lathes and milling machines.
