A new & exciting role has opened up in the Corporate Services IT Dept for a Second Line Team Leader. Reporting to the IT Service Manager, the Second Line Team Leader will oversee a small team tasked with the supply of a range of support and other services to 1,300+ internal customers across the Midlands, East and South East. The Second Line Team work with the IT Service Desk, other IT Support Teams, and 3rd Party support partners to provide efficient, customer-focussed services to the organisation.

Primary functions of the team include:

-Provide a 2nd Line Technical Support function, supporting and mentoring the 1st Line Service Desk Analysts, and liaising with 3rd Line support teams to ensure an efficient and robust Incident Management process.
-Provide a Remote Desktop Support function, utilising both 2nd Line Technical Support Analysts and 3rd Party support partners to provide on-site technical support across the organisation where required.
-Oversee the procurement, stock management and configuration of customer IT Equipment such as laptops, thin clients and smart devices.

The Second Line Team Leader will supervise work in the areas outlined above, working with the IT Service Manager and the First Line Team Leader to ensure that services are supplied effectively and efficiently, in line with business and departmental requirements.

To be a good fit for this role, you will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise and or line manage a small team. You will have experience in a broad range of technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, MDM, MDT, ITSM Tools, VPN.

Highly organised and process driven, you will be used to working with Technical & System support teams in a busy IT Dept, using associated technical, software and industry standards.

Please note this role will require you to travel between offices.
