Law firm require an IT service Desk specialist, experienced in working on site at International city law firms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide user support for approved IT facilities via phone, remote connection and desk-side visits

  • Provide technical assistance to the IT department
  • Maintain records within call logging software of all calls for support, and action taken to ensure incidents are managed in a timely manner
  • Monitor recurring problems and long-running problems and escalate as necessary
  • Keep the user informed on progress of outstanding or escalated problems
  • Set-up users and access rights on the approved systems as directed and in accordance with agreed policies
  • Assist in roll-out of new systems to users
  • Set up PCs and workstations to access network, servers and required software in accordance with agreed guidelines
  • Provide user training in the use of IT facilities as required

Basic network troubleshooting

Systems Operation

  • Maintain and monitor system event logs and escalate as necessary
  • Ensure that server and communications rooms are maintained in a clean and tidy state
  • Report server and network faults, and co-ordinate remedial work as required
  • Install new releases of software on local PCs and servers as directed, maintaining change control documentation as appropriate

Such other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time

Person Specification

  • Must have 1 - 3 year's experience in IT support and Legal applications.
  • Good knowledge of User & Security Group Active Directory administration
  • Experience working on corporate networks
  • Strong client service and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
