You will be responsible in assisting and supporting the Merchandiser in all areas of planning; distribution, trading and promotions to maximize full price sell through/profit whilst minimizing markdown costs and terminal stock.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stock Management

  • Managing Global commitment to ensure on time delivery, working closely with the buying teams managing the critical path.

  • Support the Merchandiser with Planning, WSSI management, OTB, range planning.

    Liaising with Freight Forwarders/ Warehouse teams to ensure stock availability.

    Liaising with Direct Marketing team to ensure stock availability for launch ensuring correct stocks.

    Purchase order management. Ensure Purchase orders are raised in accordance to the agreed phasing and commitment.

    Responsibility to ensure that all key/core lines are fully stocked, suggesting repeat orders.

    Provide weekly summary of performance within areas of responsibility, relating to sales, stock, promotions and markdowns.

    Analyses sales patterns, trends and history. Makes commercial suggestions to influence future buys.

    Partner with the buying team to create seasonal strategies for departments relating to all KPIS.

    Actively contributes ideas for in season trading.

    Reporting and Analysis:

  • Production of weekly trade pack.

  • Analysis and tracking of Direct/Stores sales, stock movements and best sellers.

    Works with buyers to manage the detail in the critical path to ensure availability of accurate information for the business.

    Works with the Merchandiser to analysis previous seasons performance and lessons learnt. Uses the information to make a contribution to effective planning.

    Participates in production planning and forecasting

    Key focus on market performance and differences.

    Produces seasonal analysis for selection meetings.

    Administration:

  • Using and inputting accurate data into merchandising systems.

  • Catalogue / web management – ensuring accurate information at all times and suggesting actions where needed

    Ensures systems accuracy for all live promotions.

    General duties:

  • To support the Merchandiser in day-to-day duties as required.

  • To deputize in their absence

    To assist the Merchandiser with any ad hoc analysis requested by CPO or other members of the Board.

    Progression/Developement of the Merchandise Assistant on the department.

    Must Haves:

    Advanced EXCEL skills
