Lodge Initiatives is a well-established, fast growing business specialising in the wholesale of automotive parts across the UK and Europe. For over 15 years the company has been supplying parts from the world's biggest manufacturers and European motor brands. The professional, friendly team prides itself on developing long-term and meaningful client partnerships, and benefits from having multi-lingual colleagues.
Supporting ambitious growth plans, the company has made a significant investment into facilities, with a recent move to an 11,000 sq ft site in Deeside, near Chester. Lodge Initiatives takes care of its colleagues as much as customers, and there are plenty of opportunities for career progression.
So, what will the role of FileMaker Database Developer entail?
Working closely with the Management Team, as the FileMaker Database Developer you will utilise all aspects of FileMaker and undertake a key role within the organisation, developing and maintaining the business management systems. Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Maintaining and updating current FileMaker solutions
- Further developing systems in line with the business strategy and requirements
- Integrating plug ins and APIs as necessary
- Working closely with sales, marketing and operations colleagues, taking non-technical briefs and turning them into working solutions
- Initial projects to include upgrading stock control/iOS based warehouse systems and integrating FileMaker with online sales outlets
What will I need to be considered for this FileMaker Database Developer vacancy?
- Proven experience as a FileMaker Database Developer
- Certification in FileMaker 13 or later
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superb time management skills
- Self-motivation, along with a positive attitude
- The ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
Although not essential, knowledge of FileMaker integration with e-commerce websites including Magento, Shopify, WordPress or similar, Filemaker integration with online marketplaces including eBay or similar, and XML, JSON or PHP would be highly advantageous.

Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 level dependent on experience. Plus company performance based bonus.
Attractive Benefits: 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays and pension scheme
Working Hours: Full time hours, Monday to Friday. Occasional out of hours work for new solution deployment.
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Sandycroft, Deeside (Flintshire, North Wales). Conveniently located near to Chester, the Wirral, A55 and the M56.
