Service and Installation Engineer (Field Based)
Service/Installation Engineer - Electro Mechanical machinery - Field based (Birmingham HQ)
We have new opportunities for Installation and Service Engineers to work on a field basis for a great independently owned Birmingham business. The company supplies, installs and services its own equipment predominantly within food manufacturing sites across the UK and parts of Europe.
The role will see you supplied with a vehicle, phone, tools and tablet as you will be mostly field based with an occasional requirement to support the Birmingham workshop. You will be travelling to customer sites to meet the equipment, unpack everything, position correctly and connect all utilities. You will trial the machine, checking for faults before handing over to the customer. This is supported by yo then making service visits to existing installation or maintenance and repair activities.
The machines are generally not PLC controlled so PLC fault finding and programming is not required. Equipment is predominantly electrical, water and some pneumatic valves so we are seeking Engineers qualified to 17th Edition with some mechanical skills. All machines are stainless steel so TIG welding skills would be a great help.
Working weeks are typically up to 50 hours with overtime paid after 39 hours. Most existing engineers typically earn in the region of £35k annually.
The ideal locations for applications are across the Midlands so you will ideally based anywhere in between Shropshire and Coventry or within 1 hour of Birmingham.
Opportunities are available immediately and so for more information or to apply please click the apply now button to submit your CV to Phil Bloomer of Jonathan Lee Recruitment.
