Payroller / Bookkeeper needed for growing Ayrshire CA Firm

Your new company

This growing CA firm are currently going from strength to strength and work with a diverse range of clients. They have excellent training and development in place for staff at all levels and the have experienced success in developing commercially focused finance professionals; this is demonstrated by a number of high profile promotions within the firm. This role has arisen due to continued growth within the firm.

Your new role

You will be responsible for the completion of all bookkeeping jobs, preparing VAT returns and you may also be involved in the preparation of accounts and management accounts. You will also have a high level of client engagement providing training to clients on all aspects of bookkeeping. You will also be responsible for the day to day administration of multiple client payrolls. You will have good knowledge of PAYE / NIC, SMP, SPP, SAP and SSP and working knowledge of both RTI and auto-enrolment. You will build strong relationships with HMRC, clients and colleagues and will have excellent communication skills.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous payroll experience, ideally within a professional services bureau environment. To succeed in this role you have up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation and excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with clients and staff. You will have relevant previous bookkeeping experience working within practice. You will be able to work well in team and hold excellent planning and organisational skills. The ability to engage at all levels and excellent IT skills are essential (Microsoft Office and Sage) An accounting qualification is not essential, however, it is key that you have experience of managing a varied portfolio of clients.
