About role:

The regulatory engineer is responsible for the operation, building and support of technical security controls across the TalkTalk Group. The role will provide advice and support of regulatory compliance with the operational, design and engineering teams to deliver and maintain key technology components.
They will be operationally accountable for the ongoing effective and efficient sustainment of regulatory systems and applications. This person will also be operationally responsible for maintaining and supporting delivery of the strategic regulatory roadmap and continual improvement plan for platforms within their domain, working in collaboration with other stakeholders.


How will I add value in this role?

  • Provide support and guidance to both technology delivery and business teams to ensure agreed availability, supportability and operational capability for all regulatory environment systems & applications.
  • Develop relationships with key business and technology stakeholders in order to influence and drive regulatory compliance in TalkTalk
  • Work with the regulatory architect, help create and maintain “blueprint” documentation that articulates the security architecture vision for TalkTalk
  • Support key business objectives through working with the relevant change and operational teams
  • Define and assure compliance with security standards
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry trends and best practices
  • Supplier engagement as part of the security portfolio
  • Establish and maintain security risk assessments
  • Proactive identification of platform issues and driving fault resolution within agreed SLA’s
  • Conduct testing with relevant suppliers on new features and technologies and document how these may impact on the operational teams
  • Represent the operational teams in technical change forums and provide feedback
